• The Watts Brass Dual Check Valve Backflow Preventer is designed to prevent the reverse flow of hot or cold polluted water from entering into the potable water supply in smaller supply lines. It is used to protect against health hazard and non-hazard back-siphonage of toxic or non-toxic liquids and meets the specifications of the USC FCCCHR Manual.
• This 3/4" preventer is equipped with everything needed to efficiently prevent the backflow of water: NPT female inlet and outlet connections, stainless steel internal parts, and an integral strainer. Product also features two durable, tight-seating rubber check valves: a primary check valve utilizing a rubber disc seating against a mating rubber part to ensure tight closing and a secondary check valve utilizing a rubber disc-to-metal seating.
• Suitable for use on both hot or cold water, this preventer is constructed with a highly durable forged brass body, and its compact construction ensures it can be easily handled during installation. It has a broad operating temperature range of 33 degreesF (0.5 degrees C) to 250 degreesF (121 degrees C), a minimum required pressure of 25 psi (1.7 bar) and a maximum of 175 psi (12.1 bar).
